DEPTH PSYCHOLOGY, JUNGIAN & ARCHETYPAL STUDIES
Meet Golshid Mola
Analytical psychology, symbolic living, and the deeper questions of midlife
Golshid Mola is a doctoral student in Depth Psychology with a focus on Jungian and Archetypal Studies. She is also certified in Longevity and the Soul’s Journey Through Midlife, which supports her work with adults navigating identity, aging, transition, and the deeper psychological questions of the second half of life. Her work is for thoughtful adults in midlife who feel that something is shifting beneath the surface: meaning, desire, purpose, relationships, ambition, or the identity they once relied on. Through her courses, she helps people understand these changes not only as disruption, but as signals from the psyche. Before entering depth psychology, Golshid spent many years in art, branding, and entrepreneurship. Her background in visual culture taught her to read image, beauty, form, style, and self-expression as more than surface. These are often symbolic languages of identity, memory, longing, and the unconscious. Her teaching brings together Jungian psychology, symbolic reflection, mythology, world travel, art, design, and a strong cross-cultural lens. She explores archetypes, shadow, projection, complexes, dreams, symbols, and the loss and recovery of meaning as living patterns that shape the midlife passage.

A DIFFERENT WAY OF LISTENING TO LIFE
A deeper relationship with the symbolic life
The questions, dreams, tensions, desires, losses, projections, and repeated patterns in a person’s life often carry symbolic meaning. When these experiences are approached with more attention, life begins to reveal where a person is divided, where an old identity is no longer large enough, and where a more honest direction may be forming. Her courses are not therapy. They offer psychological education, symbolic reflection, and a deeper way of understanding the life that is asking to be lived.
Background
From Art and Design to Depth Psychology
Before entering depth psychology, Golshid spent many years in art, design, branding, and entrepreneurship. She studied art and graphic design, later earned a master’s degree from New York University, and founded ALANGOO, a creative platform devoted to independent designers and symbolic expressions of identity, beauty, culture, and self-presentation. For more than a decade, she worked with images, aesthetics, form, style, cultural identity, and the visual language through which people reveal who they are. This background continues to shape the way she approaches psychology. Art and design trained her to read beneath the surface. A color, an image, an object, a style, or a visual choice is rarely only decorative. It can carry emotion, memory, identity, longing, and unconscious meaning. This symbolic sensitivity gives her work a visual and imaginative depth that makes Jungian psychology more alive, accessible, and embodied.
A SYMBOLIC WAY THROUGH MIDLIFE
The second half of life asks for a different kind of listening.
Midlife can bring questions that achievement, roles, and outer success cannot fully answer. What once gave life structure may begin to feel too narrow, while something deeper asks for attention. Through Jungian and depth psychological work, Golshid helps thoughtful adults understand this passage as more than a crisis. It can become a symbolic threshold, a place where the unconscious begins to reveal what is ready to change, return, or emerge. This work is an invitation to listen more carefully to the psyche and to meet the next chapter of life with more meaning, honesty, and inner authority.
Myth, Memory, and Culture
A Cross-Cultural Symbolic Lens
Myth, memory, and the search for meaning across worlds Golshid’s multicultural life has shaped the way she understands identity, belonging, and the search for meaning. She grew up in Iran, began her undergraduate studies in art and design in Tehran, continued her graduate education in New York, and is now pursuing doctoral work in Depth Psychology, Jungian and Archetypal Studies in California. A world traveler who has visited over fifty countries, Golshid’s travels have never been only about seeing new places. They have been part of a deeper search for meaning. Her path has taken her through many cultures, with particular influence from Egypt, India, Greece, Iran, and the Amazon, where myth, ritual, nature, and Indigenous ways of understanding the world remain deeply alive. Her familiarity with Indigenous mentality, especially the way many Indigenous cultures relate to nature, spirit, body, dream, ritual, and the unseen world, has deeply informed her understanding of symbolic life. These encounters have strengthened her interest in ancient civilizations, philosophy, mythology, and the many ways human beings have tried to understand the soul and its place in the larger world. This cross-cultural background gives her work a wider lens. She is drawn to both Eastern and Western mythology, not as old stories from the past, but as living expressions of longing, transformation, conflict, beauty, and meaning. Her work brings together personal experience, cultural memory, ancient wisdom, archetypal imagination, and the ongoing human desire to live with more depth and consciousness.
